Well, I'm far from an expert, and most everyone here has offered great advise. Brought up things I hadn't considered. I know next to nothing about audio, so I welcome advise.

Ahh, I got ya. In that case, check out youtube/the build log area here. Should give you tons of ideas on what you could do. What are you trying to achieve, what kind of vehicle, how much power do you have to play with, etc.

No problem Mikey. I have looked at some of the build log area some, and plan on spending more there. The ride is an 04 Blazer. 4dr. Unfortionatly, I need all the cargo space, so my original thought was a couple of 8" subs under the rear seats. Problem is I am very space limited and would have to go with slim mounts. Something like the JL above seems like a great option, but looking at some of the builds here, I am thinking of trying my hand at glassing a box similar to theirs.

As for what I am trying to achieve, I want a crystal clear system. I listen to Jazz and classic rock most of the time, so I don't want a lot of thump. I'm looking at a head unit with nav, dvd, mp3 input, and bluetooth. I'm going to be upgrading to component speakers and amps etc. The sub is actually the first change. But I plan on having everything in place by early summer. I welcome input on all areas, with an emphesis on clearity.
