OK In a competition between

2>Alpine Type R's with 1000watts RMS in a 4.6ft^3 tuned to 33hz

vs.

1>Memphis M3 MOJO 12 with 1500watts RMS in a 4.5ft^3 tuned to 33hz

wich do you guys think would win in terms of SPL. Ever since I had to sell my 15 MOJO (wouldnt fit in my new car, **** trunk) Ive really missed it, and Ive found a good price on the Mojo 12 and was reconsidering the Type R's. So whats your thoughts

hmm that's pretty hard, i'm running 3 12" memphis m3's i heard a pair of 05 type r's and they hit nicely, i still would stick he the memphis m3's i have, get loud as hell rated at 300rms i'm feeding them 600 and still pounding like a charm

3 12' M3s > a pair of Type Rs (more cone) and yes, memphis under-rated the m3's.. I believe it says 400 rms on their website.

on of my boys has 2 15s in a 97 maxima i dunno if trunk space change over years but the box nearly takes up the whole trunk and they're ported firing up and its loud i think they're memphis power refernce 15s

The mojo is an spl sub, so it requires a huge box, it can sound good for rap though. The mojo can handle 3 times is rms. Rms doesnt mean anything especialy if your talking about memphis subs. We have customers running 2000+ to the m3 mojos all day long. It will take it with ease.

yeah i also love the fact that i can go to a memphis dealer to buy a cartridge or recone kit if i blow my m3's
