Ok here's the real deal my buddy's loulder than me with 2 L7

The type-x is more of an SQ style sub (ok SQL) than an spl sub.
with the limited power you have you need to max out the drivers you are going to use. You want your amp to keep good control of them, while getting them to their xmax. so high wattage subs for the most part won't yeald what you want with the equipment you prsently have.

I wish i had the one in my avatar. The ones I have are Pioneer Premier TS-W1207D4 cheap crap.

But anyway with what I have to work with two 12in sub might be all i can run because

my amp runs 2600 rms so that's 1300watts a sub thats why I said ALPINE type X

because I can get SQ and still beat hard. And then maby later Ill go for SPL

Why not get a couple 12" Pioneer Premier TS-W3001D2. I mean **** you can get them for 150.00 a pop on online car stereo.

If you're louder with 4 subs, then he will use that as an excuse. Why not use a single sub and get louder. It'll put more of a shame on his setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wait wait wait.. EVERYONE!...

are you planning on getting another amp or not.. A

B. if not.. then X's are out of the question.

C. I believe the R's are cheaper, and they would OWN the X's as far as getting loud

D. For your options.. take the one that gives the proper amount of space for each sub, whether it be 2 18's, or 4 12's... honestly.. 2 18's would probably be cheaper, easier to hook up, less chance of blowin one of them, and has more cone area, thus ability to get louder
