i was wondering for the doors? people say they can port or seal the midbass? how can you do that in a door? i have the fiberglassing materials already cause im making my sub box righ tnow. but i mean how can i do something for my doors? sealed or ported?

check this out im talking to my coworker about sound systems and hes telling me about what he has in his car and he says, it's the greatest thing in the world. i go to his car and it's just distortion and rattles. ANNOYED me so bad. we were tlaking about magnets and subs, speakers, amps, just general sound you know? and he is just so ignorant to the facts. but this is why im venting. i want to spend about a grand on my system. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME BUILD UP A SYSTEM that can whoop some arse. and tell me? which is better making your own system or getting a pre made system? help please!! suggestion!! i just want to show this guy that there is more to life than. audiobahn

im not really upset..i just want to show this guy that best buy is not your best friend. you know? i love cars and everythign about them, and when i would like to share my knowledge about them to someone who "says" they are also interested in cars doesnt listen to what i have to say, it's kinda aggitating. especially when he said, "when you show me a better system, ill "probably" believe you." so instead of doing my original plan to my car. imma push that aside for now and get some bomb *** sound. so it's not like it wasnt in my plan. anyways. great help, keep em coming! =D

Seriosuly, any guy on the street would say crazy bass is a badass system. So if your just seriously trying to beat this guy alone(i have no problem with this, its your money and your car) you shoudl conisder spending most of it on the sub section, easiest way to get the WOW factor.

people that think they are loud, are usually always ignorant. my 2 12" rl-ps blew my friends 2 15" audiobhauns away. and he doesnt say shit about systems around me anymore

The Lancers all use 6 3/4" speaker mounts so you'll need some adapters for 6.5"

Your mounting depth is just under 3inches with that adapter too, thought you'd like to have that bit of info. I'm still trying to find a good spot for the tweeter in my lancer, I'd like to know where you end up mounting yours.

In that price range, look into the DLS Iridium components. They're getting a lot of praise around here. All the brands nauc mentioned are great sounding as well.
