check this out im talking to my coworker about sound systems and hes telling me about what he has in his car and he says, it's the greatest thing in the world. i go to his car and it's just distortion and rattles. ANNOYED me so bad. we were tlaking about magnets and subs, speakers, amps, just general sound you know? and he is just so ignorant to the facts. but this is why im venting. i want to spend about a grand on my system. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME BUILD UP A SYSTEM that can whoop some arse. and tell me? which is better making your own system or getting a pre made system? help please!! suggestion!! i just want to show this guy that there is more to life than. audiobahn

What all do you need? Headunit? Subs? Amp? Interior Speakers? Budget? Space? Sound preferences?

so far this is what i got...i got eclipse cd5425. i know it's the lower model. but it's 5v preout. i need speakers and amps. my sub and sub amp imma change later on caus ei already have them. but i need speakers that are SQL. i mean seriously this guy is so ignorant. and i have searched i have asked questions. but it's just such a project that i want to make sure i get it right.

- i listen to both alternative and rap.

- need SQL

-1000 spending limit

- should i run rear fill

- need to make his jaw drop when he sits in my car

So what your saying is that you need.....Front Stage components, Component amp, Sub, Sub amp, and rear fill if possible. oh yeah and what kind of vehicle is it going in?

i dont know about yall but if u buy equipment just to show someone up (even being partially the reason) ur being extremely dumb, and wasting money. most everyone buys systems for personal satisfaction. of course comp vehicles and all are build to be loud as shit, but its not to say "you say your loud, listen to mine" after talking to your friend.

hey first off i am building this for my own staisfaction. this is just hurrying up the process that i wanted to do initially. and what i do with my money is what i do? so what if i want to show up my coworker? if you met him you would prolly do the same. it's not like hes making get a system. he's just making me wnat to get a better one than i already planned to get. so calling someone dumb without knowing all the reasons is as ignorant as coworker not trying to be offensive but it is the truth.

anyways..i have a 2005 mitsu lancer evo, i believe i can run 6.5" in the front stage. there is no way in hell that i put anything in my kicks so dont ask. i need my dead pedal. my tweets will prolly end up going in the stock location in the "a" pillar, unless someone suggests a better location.

so technically i need:

- front stage comps

- comp amp

- rear fill if necasssary
