Oil Spill In gulf

Yeah, maybe if the greenies would let us drill for oil, say, on dry land, or in shallow water, shit like this wouldn't happen...the well would have been capped weeks ago if it wasn't miles off fucking shore and a fucking mile below the surface. Thanks environmental wackos. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/clap.gif.178cba2c538c68e720c727fcb024b19c.gif
there are reasons we don't drill for oil stateside, you should look it up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. better yet watch "there will be blood." having oil produced in the states would raise the price most likely because of workers' unions and minimum wage. Businesses gladly outsource, even encourage a war just to get that oil cheaper

environmentalist groups do have their share of crazy folk, just like there are plenty of selfish (to the point of destructive) businessmen that will do anything to make more money
I don't think you can cite many sources of destructive business men. Do you think BP WANTED this to happen? Do you think this is profitable for them? Do you think they WANTED to lose millions of gallons of oil? This was in nobody's best interest in any way.

It doesn't matter if they WANTED this to happen, fact is it did. There's your first "source"

Pick up a history book if you want to see more, or just read the newspaper.

You fail. It does matter if they wanted this to happen because that was the allegation.... that they cared about profit and nothing else. Well they aren't profiting now are they? Their stocks are plummeting. They are losing the resource they make their money on, and they are out the expenses to try to cap the leak, and repair their station. OBVIOUSLY even if greed were their only motivation, they would have done anything possible to prevent this. To try to say that greed somehow would cause them to waste their precious product and waste lots of money trying to fix a disaster is just plain stupid. So you still didn't provide any sort of source because the argument you're making doesn't make any kind of sense. Also, I am very versed in history and not a single time anywhere is there anything like what you're talking about. Maybe YOU need to pick up a history book.

No, I don't fail. You read too much into what somone said and let loose for some reason, and your implications as to what I'm implying is just plain awesome. NO WHERE DID I MENTION GREED AS THE REASON THEY CANNOT FIX A LEAK

Some dude said this

I was not wront at all. You threw a blanket statement out there globalizing the fact that their are NO destructive business men. I'm not going to waste the time going into this because of how hysterically oxymoronic that statement is, AND how rediculous your counter is.

I'm beginning to see just how naive you really are, so please keep posting

Well you proved yourself wrong with your quotes. destructive business men = greed. You agreed with a person who said that greed causes these men to destroy the planet without care. Now you're trying to lie your way out of it. If I were to believe your smoke and mirrors attempt at skirting the fact that you've been proven wrong I would be naive. Nothing I said was "oxymoronic", or ridiculous and you didn't prove or even begin to support any argument that might illustrate your point. All you did was quote statements that proved you wrong. I didn't state there were no destructive business men. I said I bet that guy couldn't cite a source of it.

Also I'd like to pose this question. If Bush were still the President, wouldn't he be getting blamed for this? I mean he got blamed for hurricane Katrina. Why aren't you idiots complaining about obama not doing anything?
