oil light coming on??

Alright and if i was to put the lucas treatment after the flush, would it be safe for it to stay in there for daily, or does it need to be drained out after? thanks again for the help
I add a quart every oil change it's recommended for daily use it has more tack to it then normal motor oil it also helps prevent dry starts, also don't be alarmed when your engine sounds like a blender full of rocks for the first 5-10 seconds when you first start it back up it's because you have stripped all the oil from the engine with the flush and you put on a new oil filter which you can pre-fill a little if installation will allow, but it will quiet up in a few seconds and sound great when your done. Also make sure you follow the directions to a "T" add to a cold engine, don't rev the engine or drive it and only run 5min then drain and replace the filter (make sure you get the 5min flush as it's more aggressive it's in a grey bottle made by Gunk brand) also they don't mention it but I buy an extra quart of oil and just before filling it back up I pour the extra quart in and let it run out you will see it go from black to new once that's done draining pull off the old filter and install the new one and the oil plug and top up with lucas and a slightly heavier oil then it specs for since it's high mileage i guess it calls for 5-30 that's why I would say go with 10-30.

I usally get the extra quart just to pour into it when draining. My friend told me that a while back. Its actually a really good idea. lol

Ill make sure to do all that tomorrow. I really wish this will do the trick. I already spent too much money trying to fix it already. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

thanks for your help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

well first obvious thing I would do would be to get the engine up and running hot and then park it and put a piece of bardboard under the motor see if its leaking. I would try sea foaming the engine like the above person said. Take youre car to autozone they will plug a thing in telling you if youre car is throwing any codes to possible broken things

Never worked on imports but generally oil light means low oil pressure.

I'm thinking your main and or rod bearings are on their way out, which means rebuild engine or replace engine.

Hopefully it doesn't start knocking soon. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I was gonna try flushing it but I ended up taking it back just for them to look to see if they can fix it first. The said he tightened the sensor plug wires and said that fixed it. Hopefully that was it and hopefully he didnt just unplug it and said its fixed.
^^

I was right, the guy just unplugged the sensor. I took it back for them to fix it.

Okay, I got the car back again. Those azzholes that I took it to tried lying to me. They replaced my oil pump, oil pan gasket, water pump and timing belt. The oil light still came on so they ended up unplugging the oil sensor switch and told me the wire was just loose. Well I lifted my car up and did the oil flush like you told me and I found the wire was unplugged. Im gonna call them tomorrow for that.

Well anyways, now my car is leaking a lot of oil which it never did around where they worked at. I cant really tell where its leaking from but theyre telling me its leaking from the headgasket. But I dont think thats possible? Im gonna take it somewhere else for them to look at. Also the oil light hasnt come on yet after the flush but ill still give it more time.

head gaskets do not leak oil they keep coolant from mixing in to the combustion chamber! valve cover gasket maybe but if they did the oil pump it's probably leaking from the pan gasket.
