oil light coming on??

I know its not the right place to post this at but im sure lots of you might know the problem. Well I have a 96 honda accord and last week, the oil light started coming on when stopped at a light or stop sign. This only happens when the car has been warmed up and after that, it starts flashing on me. Especially when a load is placed on the engine like the ac compressor kicking on and off and fans turning on. So I took it to get it fixed, they replaced the oil pressure switch then the oil pump and they also replaced the timing belt and water pump while they were working in that area. Well I got the car back today and the oil light still comes on. Also, if you rev up the engine, the light goes away. What could it be?

thanks

How many miles?

well try the gunk brand engine flush(not water)follow the instructions, Use a good high flow filter(k&n makes a nice one) then fill it back with 10w30 and a quart of lucas oil treatment and see if that helps clear the oil passages and keeps oil pressure up at idle.

I had a car lose all oil pressure once and it was caused by clogged passages and large deposits that had come loose and would block the screen on the oil pump and I did two engine flushes back to back then did as I said above and never had another issue, at most it will cost you about 35.00 and then at least with lucas in there if it loses pressure hopefully it won't allow the engine to seize.

seems like it would be oil pressure sensor or the pump but they replaced both so I would suggest pulling neg. Batt cable and resetting the computer. Wait 10 mins or so with it unplugged and give it another go.

Lol was going to mention this if resetting the computer didn't work. Good call.

I didnt think of that, ill try that first and see if it works. I know they never unplugged the battery because my radio settings are still set.

I wouldn't bother with the battery as the oil light is not on the same circuit as the check engine light they retain the issue for repair purposes and the oil light is on a on/off system being read as it happens it's not letting you know you had low oil pressure yesterday. where as the check engine light will tell you why it's on even if the problem is repaired but the system isn't reset.

Alright and if i was to put the lucas treatment after the flush, would it be safe for it to stay in there for daily, or does it need to be drained out after? thanks again for the help
