ohms?? and my d300hc

OK I know that the d300hc is rated at 2ohms only but my amp was factory modded you would think I know what they did to it but I dont I know it has a cap on the outside that ups the output volts or something like that but thats all I know well my ?'s was do you think I can run the D300HC at 1 ohm with out it blowing on me? I would like to play it at 1 ohm all the time not just a little burp or anything

the things that happen to an amp when you push them beyond their stability can be bad, but if you understand that it can damage the amp, and you might run into complications, then that's cool.................These are a few things that might happen.

The amp will run hotter. Consider using a fan.

Sound quality goes down. Running a sub though so not a huge deal.

Because of the heat it may go into protection. Protection is good though, it keeps the amp from breaking itself.

Keep in mind though that there are many factors that change the impedance the amp will see. The sub simply being inside the enclosure will change the resistance a bit. But, resistance is frequency dependent. Meaning that each tone or note you play changes the resistance...........So there is a chance you won't experience any of those things.
