I think Vick should have gotten an award for his canine work. Not only did he help cut down on the pit bull population he also allowed them to play with each other for a little while before being laid to rest.

I know they look saggy but that pic was three weeks ago so they have firmed up even more.

America's favorite family dog in the 1940's and 50's and the president then even had one.

I have two pit bulls currently and have had many and had several liters of puppies also.

Stereo typing is all I can say for the kill'em all theme. I had one dog that did not like people at all and was very aggressive. Never trained or made to be mean but just was a killer.

So does that mean ban all of then?

There are all types of dogs who are mean and attack people so have all of them outlawed also?

Biggest solution is to maximize animal cruelty and dog fighting sentences. Most pits are great and have no issues. If you chain our pit, he will become territorial but I think that is with all dogs.

Another thing is pit bulls are a breed that needs to be exercised a lot. If they are not they get all worked up and full of energy that can result in aggression.

All dog owners should be responsible and know what breed they are buying and treat them well. Then pits will be like every other dog in having only a few bad apples. When you have all these punks getting them trying to look or feel hard they try to make their pits tough and mean.

If you took 1000 black labs and had people train them like people are pits and did this over generations you will come out with very aggressive black labs.

I am glad someone is finally doing something about these killers. I don't know what it says about a person who would own a dog that they know will kill a child if given an opportunity.

You never know, the next victim of a pit bull attack might be the child who would have grown up to find a cure for cancer, or polio.

Are you really this STUPID? God gave the earth to HUMAN BEINGS. It is OURS. Furthermore, humanity, influenced by Satan and evil, created these dogs ourselves through selective breeding for the sole purpose of killing, fighting, and causing harm. There is no good argument to keep these hateful killers in our midst, and eradicating them via any means necessary is the only proper thing we can do. I only hope it happens before one of these vile creatures hurts someone you love.

thats ridiculous, how could you kill off an entire breed in a state. thats seriously the dumbest thing i've ever heard. yeah maybe some dogs attack and they can be trained easily to attack, but at the same time every pit bull i have ever met has been nice and i've been able to pet it....

Count me in on that...

Anyway, Ohio sucks. They take away my smoking now they are trying to take away our dogs.

I wonder what all the people that live in my neighborhood think of this. If they know about it (Ohio likes to slip these bills past us residents without us knowing.)

There is probably about 20 different Pit Bulls that I see. They are really beautiful ones too. There is one that I see always walking with a bunch of young (3-5 years old) kids that looks just like the one my dad had when I was a little kid.

Since the "statistics" show that Pit Bulls are so evil and awful why don't we do away with all the people that statistics show commit crime.

if therye so worried about dangerous dogs, why not put the owner down instead they made their dog that way..... it isnt thier fault.....
