Some of you may have seen a few posts where I mentioned how much I loved the old school round kicker solobarics and that one of the best SQL systems I have ever heard was 4 of the 12's in a cavalier. I've tried to replicate that system with other sql drivers, such as the tc-3000, RE MX, MB Quart PWE series, and so on with no luck. nice. i wouldnt actually overpower them though like th guy stated lol. os kickers imo sound so much better than their new stuff. you make the box right and you can jam anything from petty to jeezy. people flip when they here how tight my os kicker 18s hit. not just low but punchy and quick responce.

Very nice! I have 3 old solo 12"s sitting in my spare bedroom right now. I will probably never use them though.

I think the solo's have been one of the most accurate subs over a wide frequency range that I have heard. I haven't heard many other super sq subs either though.

They aren't as great as people hype them up to be but still nice subs. Good buy as they're definitely worth what you paid.

My friend got an 8" solo in great condition for $5 at a Good will while he was volunteering. Very nice sounding sub; I was hoping to play with different enclosures but only got to hear it sealed in my car. I did enjoy it though as it melted into my front stage like my IDQ did.

They're too expensive at Credence. There's 2 12's on ebay for a good price right now though.

I agree with Imma, a bit over hyped these days. But still sweet old drivers none the less.

I point to posts like this when telling Polecat that Kicker really needs to release a new flag-ship round SQL driver. Calling these new square things they sell now a 'solobaric' is like naming the new model Impala.... nothing like the original design intent that made the name famous in the first place.

I can't tell from the pics, but are those the ones with the stitching between the cone and the surround. I've installed a pair for a buddy and they're alright..
