OH NOES! amp problems.

my cousin just bought a new Hifonics Zues Zi1006.

power ratings are....

1000x1 @ 4

500x2 @ 2

250x2 @ 4

he has a dual 4 ohm PG titanium 15''. When its wired down to 2 ohm, the amp goes into protect.

why is this?

If it's bridged @ 2ohms that is why. It's not rated to be bridged @ 2ohms. If it is on one channel? Bad amp, gain to high?

so you have one vc on each channel? does the amp go into protect without anything hooked to it?

wired parallel..down to 2 ohms. then the + is in the + and the - is in the - on channel numero uno

ahh, that makes sense... but I would still think it was the amp, have you tried channel 2? I really don't have any insights... so good luck...
