Oh no FORD!

iirc it was $695 above stock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
live and learn, though the 6 disk changer is a nice option, but I don't think I would like the speed dependant volume.

I didnt have the Sony sound system in my Focus, but I know a few that have it and for what it is really is not all that bad. I dont know what the deal is with Faulktons setup when he had the factory in there, but the people that I knew that had it sounded decent and got plenty loud enough. Bass losses out once you turn it up too high, but you have to crank it pretty good. They dont seem to distort much.

Scion, a division of Toyota (which is inarguably a profitable company with a few different luxury offerings notwithstanding) offered (or still offers...don't know which) an option for a "better than stock" audio system.

The gear was Bazooka. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Sad as I am considering they are a Louisiana-based outfit.......I'd probably rather have stock Toyota gear rather than Bazooka at the end of the day...
I agree with this. But Lexus, also division of toyota, used Pioneer and Nakamichi for the "better then stock system" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The newer ones are Mark Levinson

yeah some models 02-04 came with a RF 10' i think it was the se or xtreme models

HAHA

And isn't mitsubishi also coming out with cars with better sound systems?

I had a hard time sleeping last night, so I was watching the news at 4am. They said that Ford just made a deal with Sony where there will be an available option on all Ford cars and trucks for a Sony "system".
I think as a whole we are losing ground to Sony Car Audio.

I like the fact that car companies are getting the idea that people want aftermarket stereos in their vehicles but why Sony. A while back I remember there was a Mazda called the MP3, and had a Kenwood Excelon MP3 player. I thought that was pretty cool.

Sony does make decent TV's and DVD players, they should stick to that.
i will just shake my head and say you have a lot to learn/relize
