I spent some time educating myself and re-learning some American History. Learning of the origins of both the Democratic and Republican parties, what they supported then and what they support now. I have spent close to a month looking at the good the bad and the ugly of BOTH parties. Both parties have some positives but one party has more negatives. It is these negatives that have pushed me away from the Democratic party.

Dems are for Unions which I personally do not like. Unions are nothing more than bullies.
Dems are for LGBT rights which I don't care for. I don't need to be forced to participate in their life choices.
Dems are for stricter gun laws. This is out of ignorance and stupidity.
Dems are for Universal Healthcare. Requiring citizens to purchase health insurance (usually at high cost or face penalties as shown with Obama care). Wonderful for those selling the insurance, bad for the working class.
Dems are offering Biden... A mental half wit geriatric in need of nursing home.
Dems are for sure running a smear campaign against Trump. Going out of ones way to attempt to make someone look bad doesn't show me how your party will benefit the country or its citizens. Any intelligent person can see what they are doing and how they are trying to sway easily influenced people by pandering to them. Again, how does this benefit the country or its citizens?

I'm not sorry saying that the GOP is doing more for the country and its citizens. I am voting Republican.
