I have reported their sigs as well. I'm not really happy that they are allowed to have DIRECT links in their sig to their forum and SHOP. Really though, Denim and SoundSolutions are the only ones that that effects. I'm not sure if Demin does it.
As far as lo-hz gaining from this site vs. don and the like.... Don doesn't advertise all over the place and make SURE you know that he's a dealer, as far as I've seen most of his business off this site has been people contacting him, not the other way around.

and acidburn said showrides gained from the site, not advertising and many dealers have gained from this site.

I must admit IMO the SSA people are pushing it a little but every post i have seen they don't throw out their product like it was gold, and while I admit their sigs are a bit spammy, they do have a gallery and forum, which does allow people who click on it to find other things then just a shop. However that itself is a push.

Also, Don and Aaron and the like of dealers on here don't spam anyone either. The reason why we all know they and many others are dealers is because every week or so their is a thread saying "Where can I get rainbow?" and one of their names is ALWAYS thrown out. Theirs just nothing they can do about it.

sorry, im not letting this turn into a lets ban wanted again thread. *** kissers know who they are... lets get back on topic... tis dood was banned for breaking the rules and "gaining" from this site... As a business owner i can see why he would not understand why he was banned. I see plenty of companies gaining from this site and many of witch i have done business with in the past. Good people too... FI had an entire thread made for scott at the launch of his new brand... That single thread created the biggest fad i have ever seen around here. Great guy and great product.... Just made money off the site... Now don another great guy.... I have done business with him too... makes many sales off this site... I'm in no way saying hey ban these people cause they offer a service to the rest of us. Now lets get to the biggest offender of all these days... SSA mods putting them in their sigs... comming here with complete spam sigs with links to their sites and so on... i mean give me a break... i cant even look at one of their sigs without thinking "**** thats worse then yahoo spam"... Oh well tho... this is my last post of this thread just to keep biting my tongue. Any other jabs at me or anyone wanting to continue this debait can do so on aim....

diff between us and low/hz, hmm where to begin. We don't shuv product down people's throats or make outragious claims. We just have our sigs. Thats standard on any forum around. We also manufactor our own product, which low-hz just slings anything and everything to people via pm's, we really don't bother many people here

If they didn't make so much money from this forum, they wouldn't be fighting this so much. I think it's pretty obvious that they made a boatload of money from selling/advertising on this site, and thus are really pissed that they can no longer do so.

If their business is doing so good elsewhere, they wouldn't be complaining about getting banned from one (now two //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) car audio sites.

That's how I found out. It wan't until recently that I saw Don say he was a whatever dealer, and it wasn't even like he was trying to push product, he was more or less cracking a joke.

As I see it, the people on here that hate the mods and just don't get why they get banned remind me an aweful lot of the people that hate all cops, even though many of them are just good people trying to do a noble profession.

I beg to differ on this point...

Here's a prime example among many that I can think of on short notice...

Mark (soundsolutions) was on here earlier making sig images for people. He would happily include ANY image the poster wanted in their signature. For free!

Oh yeah - the SSA logo was going to be included in that signature as well - whether the person wanted it or not.

Did they have the option of simply not getting one made?

Well, sure!

But those that did are now advertising for an entirely different website at the expense of some of Goob's server space.

Do I have anything against SSA?

Absolutely not.

Do I have anything against Aaron or Mark or anyone else who skirts the rules with no issues because they're more popular than say, Showrides?

No I don't.

I have very little exposure to Mark so I really cannot comment on him one way or the other.

As far as Aaron is concerned I've never gotten crossways with him either that I can recall and respect him greatly as one of the more knowledgeable people on the forum. Certainly I have learned more than a couple of things from reading his postings.

That being said I still disagree with the double standard.

If one person gets bounced for advertising then all that do so should catch a vacation as well.

I know - it's a completely unpopular point of view and I'll actually be surprised if I don't catch the BanHammer for it myself but just like all others I am entitled to my opinion whether it happens to be the popular one or not.

How about almost every single thread wherein someone is looking for a subwoofer recommendation and the inevitable suggestion of an Fi product pops up or the new SSA Icon with a gentle nudge towards the shop at SSA soon to follow?

Do I understand why they're doing it?

Of course! They're running a business and the idea there is to drum up customers and sell products!

But again - why is what's good for the goose not good for the gander as well??

I think this is really getting out of hand, I dont hear about him much, but when I do all it is is negative. And then he gets on here and makes threads and stuff and makes a complete *** out of himself, and says things like everyone is just mad b.c he is cheaper and this this and that..

This shit is really getting annoying, he is not a business man whatsoever. I dont see how he can even run a company, and if he doesnt run it, whoever does needs to let him go.. I just dont understand..

You're not going to get banned for that. And I actually agree with you. The like to SSA I can see them sliding on, even thought they still gain through traffic, but the DIRECT LINK TO THE SHOP, just flat out shouldn't be there.
