Official "What Frequency is my song yo" post

Oh my God... how can you honestly not hear how clipped and distorted this is?! Please don't ever set your gains by ear...

If you can't hear it, please tell me you can see it:

This is with the EQ off, which means there is no boost in the bass at all.

on the right tuned system, this has to be one of the deepest, loudest, bass songs I've ever heard.
Loudest is relative to the system but deepest? You must not listen to much music... or at least nothing with decent bass.

lol I just thought it was attenuated, had my system at 44, instead of 52 for the same loudness :X

Didn't know it was clipping, however. The gains were set by a DMM //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

The scratchy and non-smooth bassline didn't catch your ears at all?!? I just can't understand how anybody could listen to that and seriously think it was normal but "louder". I'm glad that your gains were set via the terrible DMM method because your ears fail at listening.

What about T.I. - Top back???

I can't believe this hasn't been done yet. This is probably the hardest hitting song ever played on my system.

Cadillac Don - Peanut butter & jelly also hits pretty close to "Top Back." I suspect they are in the same frequency range.

DJ Laz - Miami el Negro

DJ Laz - Journey into Bass

Basshunter - Dota

Wierd songs with good bass. A lot of the versions out there arent of the highest quality, but if you find a good one, they have some very clean, hard hitting, and some deep bass lines.
