USC will replace athletic director Mike Garrett with former Trojans quarterback Pat Haden and return the Heisman Trophy won by Reggie Bush in 2005, university president-elect C.L. Max Nikias announced Tuesday.

Yeah I seen that. It was like 8 player arrested for underage drinking IIRC. No big deal IMO.

There was also news of a Florida OL taking 100K before the bowl game from an NFL agent, and also I hear UNC is being investigated pretty thorough.

Haha. Poole is a better back anyway. Anyone who watched practice last year would say the same. #1 recruit my ***. I went to the spring game this year and Poole looked really good. People are going to underestimate UT this year, with good reason, but they have some talented players. If both lines can be somewhat productive, they'll win some they aren't supposed to. They are strong in the secondary and the WR core is the most talented they have been in quite some time. Everyone is focusing on the QB, but you should know as well as I do, good WRs make great QBs and they have some good ones.

Add to that Gerald Jones, Denarius Moore, and NFL type TE Luke Stocker.

Oh yeah, don't forget about this kid.

. Who rushed for over 7,000 yards and over 100 TDs in his career. Averaged over 10 yard per carry. His Jr year he rushed for over 3,000 and had 36 TDs, add to that 45 receptions for over 600 yards. He also racked up some nice defensive numbers with close to 200 tackles his Jr and Sr year as a safety.

How this for a schedule. 5 of the first 7 games are against top 25 teams. USCjr and Ole Miss aren't pushovers either, both received a number of votes for the top 25. Gonna be a tough year.

I cant get over all the hype about boise st. with their joke of a schedule.

They have two tough games in Virginia Tech and Oregon St. Other than those I expect them to win easily. Thing thing about them is they are a well coached team playing in a soft conference. They are a pretty good team because of this. I think they have proven that over the past few years with 2 BCS bowl wins. Their schedule is going to be weak because they play in a weak conference. They have tried to schedule better opponents but they get turned down because the other team would gain nothing from adding them to their schedule. They've even tried to schedule Tennessee a couple of years ago and they turned it down. Being in the #3 spot to start the season is almost a guarantee trip to the big game. Better hope VT or ORst beat them.
I'm interested to see how they perform after losing on of their best coaches. Defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox.

I actually need Boise to beat VA Tech, lol, for GA Tech's sake. I dont have anything against Boise, other than that horrible blue grass, shit makes my head hurt. I don't really think they should be at #3 though. Looks like Miami's gonna win their game, no surprise.
