**Official NBA thread**

so cleveland trades one bad contract (hughes) for another (wallace) this is a lateral move and it really doesnt put them ahead of boston or detroit. wallace is not as good as he was 3 to 4 years ago and wit his terible shooting it will allow interior defenders to collpase on lebron. gooden sucked defensively but he still averaged the same amount of rebounds as wallace does. also hughes defensive on billups was a big reason they won teh ecf last year. i dont see how cleveland is going to get better since their whole roster is loaded wit bad contracts. imo seattle made out the best in this trade by unloading salary.
Yeah, I am still not huge on the trade either, however I think if Big Ben plays close to his days in Detriot, that it will help them considerably. Gooden could never get over 10 boards a game, nor is he as good defensivley, however is a much better scorer. Who cares though being we have LeBron and Wally how is a sharp shooter when he comes to play.

I need a good 10 plus games to make a final judgement in how it will help them, lol!

they playerd great against the kings tonight. i think scola will definately be big in yao's absence
it was the kings...

robinson would have still been a 20p-10r + player without duncan they switched over and ran the offense through timmy that year.... he was 15.8 and 10 running the offense through timmy...
what else did we have in the package? nothing...we didnt have the high scoring guards. avery and elliot were a tad above average at best.

14 ft of 2 HoF players.....
look at denver...if it wasnt for houston losing yao they had a slim chance of playing catch up to make the playoffs much less a ring. the nets had 2 future HoF players and that went south. Dallas had Nash and Vovitski and no ring yet. now kidd and dirk, but with kidd in the same declining state which D-rob was already past, i doubt Mavs stand a chance.

look at Wade and Shaq if you want a good comparison. 2 future HOF's and because of age and injury the lack those fundamentals. TD put us on his back much like Lebron did, but he cant produce.

Denver doesnt have the coaching nor the depth to make a run. Plus its tough to win when your two hof's are both guards. They need size.

Houston losing Yao is a huge blow and I am with you that they will be unable to make a playoof run.

The nets? Carter may get into the hall but its definitely not a lock so no need to really comment on that. Plus they didnt have size either.

Dallas is more vulnerable since they now have less size but finally have a good leader. I will give them a very outside chance.

The spurs always have a chance since they have been there before.

The suns have an outside chance as well since they brought in a low post threat in shaq, now we just need to see if he can run with them or implement a new style of offense.

To me it looks like the Lakers and everyone else. But who knows, there is still too much basketball to be played to be sure.

Patrick Ewing and Marcus Camby were on that knicks roster..they also had sprewell, kurt thomas, larry johnson.
And not a single team player was mentioned. As we both know it takes a lot more than talent to win the title.

Imo Ewing is the only hof'r in that group. Camby is all defense but doesnt score much and lacks size. Sprewell was an idiot and a severe waste of talent, thomas is a great 6th man but wouldnt want him starting and lj kinda fell off after the hornets.

why dont you let the man who was trying to prove a point, prove it. GTFO!

nope, its you Dallas folk that lose at basketball, football, and now hockey. really sux for constant let downs. failure its a staple for dallas now.

must be the attitude of all those black folks

I could care less really about that guy. He has his *** so far up the Spurs it is kinda sad.

Hey, the Cavs lost last night to the god dam Bucks on a buzzer beater. Fawking Mike Redd! Figures, I knew we didn't offer him enough money to come to Cleveland. I wish...........

he is a great player when healthy. has a sweet shot and a quick release. that was a good shot though. szcerbiak had a hand right in his face and he nailed it. watch the replay though, it was a boarderline travel when he stopped
