**Official NBA thread**

sorry
haven't checked back on this forum for a month or so

but just to set things straight DAVIS > NASH

shaq is past his prime buddy, did you even watch the game against the lakers? espn made him look god like with the dunk, but most of the game he had trouble keeping up running up and down the court

warriors > suns w/ shaq

warriors > celtics (for now)
Are you retarded? No way in hell Davis can be a PG like nash.. Do you know what a PG is? Their job is to distribute the ball to their teammates to make THEM better. No one else in the league can play like Steve Nash. Davis is a good player, but he is a scorer, and nothing more. Davis doesnt make plays for his team like Nash does.

That was Shaqs first game with the suns, I think he got to practice once with them. From what I saw, he kept up just fine, he just has to learn the plays. Shaq still has some fuel left, dont put him down like that. He may not be the best center in the game anymore, but he still has defence, and his presence isnt like any other players in the game. Just knowing that a 7'1 350lbs man that is most likely the best center to play the game is on your team can make a world of difference.

6 allstars? where the hell do you get that? we are the oldest team in the league, are you counting guys that "were" allstars many years ago?
spurs have one star player and a bunch of second round pics starting, heck oberto wasn't drafted at all.

THE KING...THE MJ REINCARNATED WOULD HAVE PULLED 1 WIN
look at the spurs, look at their coach, look at their players, look at their knowledge and veteran leaders, and then compare them to the cavs. they beat them in every category. and the cavs made it to the finals on just lebrons back. now they have a good interior presence, a couple more scoring options. a PG with tons of potential, on top of lebron.

I agreed with that one dood about Davis being better than Billups, which I will stand by till this /. But in no way can I say Davis is a better overall PG than Nash. Nash is just one of the best at his postition, bar none. Davis is a better scorer like you said, but Nash pwns the rest. I will agree to disagree though about Nash makes his team better. Yes, he does, but so does Davis. Davis is a very good PG, don't be fooled! Probably one of the top 3 IMO. Nash, Paul and then Davis, with D. Willams coming along nicely for the Jazz. I may be leaving some out, I am sure. Still, Davis did a lot last year for them getting as far as they did in the playoffs.

I am still not sold on Shaq! Guy is one of the all time best centers, but that is moot right now being he is in his tale end of his career. Guy can still do certain things well, but he will struggle to keep up. He will never be the Shaq of old! He is a number 5 guy to get the ball anyway. He will do fine on the boards, that is about it. And maybe once in a while add in the double digits in points some nights. Still think Marion was a better fit for them, but he had to open his mouth and is on one of the worse teams in the league now. Pfft!

pistons FTW
Oh man, you are killing me! Just when I think we got rid of the biggest nut rider of the Pistons then comes in his alter ego. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Just messing, they are having a heck of a year. Sucks, but looks like it will either be them or Boston, but should be interesting to see how the Cavs do with all the new faces. They looked awesome against the Grizzles, but that isn't saying much.

i also agree about davis. nash puts up great assists with good percentages, but davis is all around. he can score, dish, steal, control the energy in the building better. nash is a true pass first, shoot second PG. but i would rather go with a healthy davis and build my team around him then nash.

they got a good shot, the trade for pau was a great move, and if bynum gets back in shape by playoffs, they will be dangerous. i can only imagine what they will be like next year after they all gel together. i think kobe is happy he didnt go to the bulls at the beggining this year.

No doubt about Kobe, lol! He has a good young team under him and with the addition of Gasol, they will make a run now. Sucks as I push for the Suns and Warriors, but Lakers look to be a different team w/ Gasol in there.

they made it on lebrons back and the Spurs front office...old front office that is. we are the trendsetters and assholes are trading away future stars just to keep up with us. mike brown and danny ferry are the reason the cavs made it there.

on a side note, the spurs played like punks in the finals. thats the worst i have ever seen them and Lebron couldnt take 1 game? c'mon man...people still call him the king

at least they are not complete chokers like them dallas teams. i would rather have one team that is consistent than multiple teams that fail in the playoffs...multiple times

he is one man, give him a break. he can do almost everything on his. give him some props. he made it there by himself, now he has a good surrounding cast, i dont see them winning it this year, but i see them making good off season moves and picks and training that will definately take them to the top next year. he is the king and the face of the franchise not just the cavs. he is what the NBA has wanted and he is only 23 years old. think about it and what is to come

so cleveland trades one bad contract (hughes) for another (wallace) this is a lateral move and it really doesnt put them ahead of boston or detroit. wallace is not as good as he was 3 to 4 years ago and wit his terible shooting it will allow interior defenders to collpase on lebron. gooden sucked defensively but he still averaged the same amount of rebounds as wallace does. also hughes defensive on billups was a big reason they won teh ecf last year. i dont see how cleveland is going to get better since their whole roster is loaded wit bad contracts. imo seattle made out the best in this trade by unloading salary.
