**Official NBA thread**

I'm one of the biggest suns fan you will ever see, but as of right now the team to beat is the Lakers. With the addition of Gasol, I see a very good future for them.

so cleveland trades one bad contract (hughes) for another (wallace) this is a lateral move and it really doesnt put them ahead of boston or detroit. wallace is not as good as he was 3 to 4 years ago and wit his terible shooting it will allow interior defenders to collpase on lebron. gooden sucked defensively but he still averaged the same amount of rebounds as wallace does. also hughes defensive on billups was a big reason they won teh ecf last year. i dont see how cleveland is going to get better since their whole roster is loaded wit bad contracts. imo seattle made out the best in this trade by unloading salary.

and thats why you have nothing to do with the NBA. cavs just got a great interior defender. at the bulls he hated it. he regreted since he got there. he has sucked this year because of his ankle that he hurt in pre-season, and instead of sitting out and letting it heal, he played through it and it didnt work out. it is close to 100% now and he is putting up his numbers. no he wont put up the ones of old, but he will put up ones that cleavland hasnt seen before. he has a change of scenery on a team that can go deep, that boost anyone play right there.

always a great idea to bring in overpriced veterans who eat up teh cap space. it has been working well for the knicks. ben wallace was disgruntled in detroit, he was disgruntled in chicago and idk why he wouldn't be in cleveland. his numbers were going down in detroit and continued that way in chicago so why would it change now? this offseason seattle will be signing free agents to put around durant while cleveland will not because they have so much money locked up in wallace and sczerbiak.

how was he disgruntled in detroit? the only reason he left there was for more money. thats the only reason, he loved it there and he was the face of the franchise and he was the one who everyone loved and supported. look at the stats when he was there. you know how many more ben wallace jersey's were sold then the rest of the team combined? look it up. not saying he is the old big ben, but i havent lost faith in him and i feel he can still put up semi- old wallace stats for them that will definately help them out

look how many shooters/scorers/guards chicago has, hughes wont be able to play his game there either
cleveland had what 1 shooter? lebrons offensive game is alot more like hughes than anyone on the bulls. cutters/slashers need shooters to kick the ball out too. too many slashers on the same team at one times is pretty easy to guard because you know they arent taking a 22 ft jump shot so you lay back more. on chicago they have many more shooters to compliment his game. not saying hughes is as good as lebron but what he brings to the table as a scorer didnt compliment lebrons game and lebron didnt compliment hughes game either

he is one man, give him a break. he can do almost everything on his. give him some props. he made it there by himself, now he has a good surrounding cast, i dont see them winning it this year, but i see them making good off season moves and picks and training that will definately take them to the top next year. he is the king and the face of the franchise not just the cavs. he is what the NBA has wanted and he is only 23 years old. think about it and what is to come
timmy won his first ring a few days before his 23rd with a second rate team and a worn out robinson which was a few steps away from what Shaq looks like now.

robinson would have still been a 20p-10r + player without duncan they switched over and ran the offense through timmy that year.... he was 15.8 and 10 running the offense through timmy...
