Most of the guys my Dad works with are fanatical when hunting season comes around. They demand weeks off work, leave they're wifes and family behind, and are in the woods by 4:30am opening day. Some have even quit they're jobs if they can't get the time off. Walk through the woods all week, pushing deer over the mountain. I was never really into it to go to those extremes.

Yeah, some reporter was asking Nugent those stupid *** "how would you feel" questions and that was his response. Whether someone likes to hunt or not, it amazes that there are still people that do not appreciate that hunters are, as a whole, the greatest conservationists.

Funny you mention that . Locally the PETA fegs were protesting hunting and hunters several years back . So much so they lowered the tag limits sold to hunters. What did this bring you might ask . It forced the local law enforcement agencies to hire sniper / hunters to thin down the deer herd that was starting to move into urban areas , that they have never populated before due to overcrowding . It was an everyday thing to read in the paper about deer crashing through someones glass doors or something. What did the PETA people have to say about this ? of course they were completely against it , and protested once again . Out come ? This made me cry............ My wife hit this one with her car. But there are still at least two bucks on the land this one came from and I believe they are the same blood lines. Here's camp.

Nice camp.. Our "deer camp" consists of an old house.. Has heating, A/C, gas stove, bathroom.. Don't guess you can really consider it a "camp" compared to yours..lol... I have never really actually camped out in preparation for deer hunting.. I'd like to someday though..

I'm also surpised at the the pine trees.. Didn't think yall had many of um up there.. Down here in MS its getting to where everything is being planted in pines.. Keep losing beautiful hardwoods to pines.. But those 200 acre pine thickets that are so thick you cant even walk to can hold A LOT of deer!!

Yeah there is a lot of pines, but there is also alot of hardwoods. Just to the left of that pic, the hardwoods start. You can see a couple on the very edge of the pic.
