***Offical 08/09 NBA thread!***

holy crap how unlucky is Memphis for Andrew Bynum? Deja Vu man, two years in a row, he starts getting on a roll and boom tears up his knee...luckily the team has a ton of experience with this situation so, they may not take it as hard as they did early on last season...wonder how long he's going to be out...

Yes, they are a tough team to beat in a best of 7. I think they're a team that has been contenders for sooooo long that they're bored and can't wait til the post season. Then I think they'll wake up a little or even a lot.
where the hell have you been? oh yeah, you are the bandwagon fan so you dont know Pop does this every year for the last 10 years with the spurs. they mess with rotations up until the last week of febuary until something makes sense. no other team like us been contenders for so many years in a roll. lakers are a close second, but not by much.

I was assuming that there weren't any upsets along the way. Of course upsets happen but whoever wins the #1 seed will for sure NOT have to play BOTH of the other 2 teams. Thats what I was trying to drive home. And NO it didn't almost happen last year. Boston had home court and they dominated all of their home games. I personally think that this year Boston may not be as dominant at home but be WAY better on the road in the playoffs. I mean, they coasted through last regular season. This year they hit a wall and are a better team because of it.
Hawks taking the Celtics to 7 games last season happened, so my point about the #8 team almost beating the #1 team stands...

He said it wasnt as bad as last year, hes able to put pressure and walk on it, but still needs crutches. He'll have an MRI tomorrow. Its pretty crazy that last year he was injured at home against Memphis on January 13th. This year, its been flipped around and he gets injured at Memphis on January 31st. Creepy...

yea, pretty eerie...x-rays are negative, so thats always good...hopefully his MRI will be clean...Im no a big fan of his, but I dont like players going down, with few exceptions...

Because I don't know everything about YOUR team means I'm a bandwagon?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Seriously, your man crush for me is really starting to get creepy.

My comment on this is ...............................WRONG !!!!!!!!! From 1956 to 1969 the Boston Celtics won 11 titles in 13 years. Including 8 in a row.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

And as far as I know the Spurs have NEVER even won back 2 back titles.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Pretty much dead on, but could be Devin Harris over Granger. Granger put up good numbers last year.
I had Devin early on, up until probably 4 weeks ago, the only reason I went Granger on this one right now is that Devin has slipped a bit, Granger has improved across the board this year, and if you look, he's evolved into a completely different guy out there, he's starting to remind me of a younger Paul Pierce and maybe even more abilities. He's become a heck of a leader and he's put up a lot of big games this year....it could go either way with those two...

in the last decade?
You never said the past decade. You were saying that Pop has done that for the last 10. Then you proceeded to say that "no other team like us been contenders for so many years in a roll. lakers are a close second, but not by much". Years in a roll?? Hope you mean, in ROW. So I found where the Celtics dominated for much longer than the Spurs have been contenders.

i like how you post data from the past, because when other here do it to argue your posts you negate them with your limited intellect.
Go ahead and quote me where I've done that. Then we'll talk.

Smacked the Pistons at their home finally!

Lost the last 4 there in the regular season. I am telling ya, this year is much different than before.

Go Cavs!

Also did Tea finally hang himself or something? How is that Allen Iverson trade working out again? 21-21 with him, pure awesomeness! Chauncey is rolling over in D. Told you it was a bad trade.
