SAAB will be back, They have been around for ages in Europe and the states.

Great cars owned a Nine3 and a 9000 turbo. Pretty quick for being bone stock.

GMC is the the fleet line as well as the upgraded line. GMC trucks are like Pontiac or Buick cars, same as teh Chevy but better equipped with more options.

GMC will stay because people actually buy those trucks. For trucks, they are pretty nice, and they are alot of rich people who need trucks, so they buy the GMC. Thats the thing with trucks, most people buy them because they NEED them, for work or play. Ugly as GMCs are, they do have a use. The really isnt a use for a Hummer though, they dont fit on any good trails, and they dont have any cargo room either. Yea right. Probably about 90% of the trucks I see are never used for anything but transport. I'll see them raised, covered in stickers, and the beds with no scratches. Ghetto chromies which make them useless off road etc. Ive seen people buy those massive F-650s. Of which dont show any signs of them being used for work. Clean bed, no trailer hitch.

Maybe you guys actually use them for work. But most of population does not.

Good for them for finally killing Hummer.

But why did they decide to keep GMC. THey are just rebadged chevrolets. And all they make are trucks and SUVs. They are just as useless as Hummer. I dont care what the sales figures on that brand are. There isnt a point in keeping them.

They should of killed GMC and kept pontiac.

Absolutely agree!!!! If GMC's have more options, make them available on Chevys. Kill GMC. Same with Ford keep Mercury. Silly in my opinion. Very well said mbaoo. Waste of money to have the same truck with 2 different names on them.

They aren't really nixing Pontiac, they are downsizing it to more of a "specialty" brand

And Saturn isn't totally going away either. The badge may be disappearing, but the products will be combined with the Buick brand, which will move on to share designs with Opel.

I have a '79 Chevy with over 300k on the body, and been through 2 motors, and working on the third. Yeah, it's not a newer vehicle that helps GM in anyway, but it's VERY useful around here. Hauling, transporting, and play. The cab and bed can be lifted off of the frame by just one person. It's a piece of shit, but until I wrap the frame into a complete circle, I will always drive it.

you must beat the living piss out of that poor truck if you're on your third Chevy motor and you've only racked up 300k. I've seen many Chevy trucks with 300-400k on one motor without having to do any major repairs.
