I think what he was driving at is that drivers with softer suspensions usually have a higher degree of compliance and will tend to have a lower Q being less peaky or boomy. Not always but most of the time.Yeah, I was making those faces and scratching my head too.
did you click on the second link I sent? Those are DVC, I sent the wrong link at first.According to the specs, those Polk subs are SVC 4 ohm. They won't work unless they're actually DVC.
I havent looked but sonic electronix usually runs them cheaper on ebay than they do in the store. If you have a budget, I can def understand that.Sorry, I missed that one. Yeah, those will work, but they're getting a little too pricey.
Lol.. you have no interest in these? It's a great deal and one of the 5 you mentioned anyway
On the contrary, I am very interested in these. The only downside I see to getting these is they require a slightly larger cutout than the normal 10" driver and I would probably have to enlarge the speaker holes in my enclosure. I've had ED K series subs before and they were very impressive, especially when considering their low purchase price. I'm sure these wouldn't disappoint.Lol.. you have no interest in these? It's a great deal and one of the 5 you mentioned anyway
Thanks for that info. I didn't catch that myself. They are now off the list.Forgot to say. Exodus DPL-10 will NOT work in .65 sealed. They are designed for IB or VERY large sealed boxes. The lower BL and high qts makes them not suited for small box designs.
I wonder if this could be some leftover ill feelings against ED? I know at one time if someone even mention ED the haters would come flying out of the woodwork. I can't say anything bad about ED as I've had nothing but good products from them.No idea... Are they? Is there another thread with proof and/or admission by eD?
