OEM integration for max SQ

Ok! Good news to report for those interested. The Nav-TV TM6 is an amazing little unit. It does indeed take the direct fiber optic (MOSTbus) feed which is a flat, 2 channel signal and then converts to an analog (RCA) output to Center, Front doors, Rear doors and Subwoofer.

Although it was ready to go for later model Volvo's, my 2007 with the premium Dynaudio system was a different configuration so it took a while for them to reverse engineer but I am very happy to say it is working beautifully, with an ultra pure clean signal feeding my Bulter amp. Stunning sound quality - dead quiet and ultra dynamic.

The installation is a snap. I installed under the passenger seat (unit is about the size of a couple decks of cards side by side). Just needed a battery hot and ground so I spliced into the factory amp cable for that and plugged the fiber cable in and instant preamp/processor. I ran my RCA's to the trunk to my amp and then spliced speaker wire back to the factory harness speaker wire. TM6 has a remote turn on lead for the amp as well.

The interface is impressive as well. Installed on my laptop I simply connect via USB while music is playing or off line and make changes and hear results in real time. Up to 31 band EQ, with time alignment and slope (Q) settings for each driver. You can create and save different profiles to compare one setting against others or baseline.

Great guys to work with there too. For anyone who has a fiber optic (MOSTbus) equipped car like Volvo, Audi, Porsche, etc this is the first and only option that I know of to feed a pure digital fiber optic signal to a preamp/processor and aftermarket amp instead of having to take a feed from the outputs of the factory amp. No simple task but Nav-TV pulled it off. You dont have to be an audiophile to appreciate the sound quality either. I demo'd the set up to my wife and I couldnt get her out of the car until she heard all her favorite tunes.

Anyway, in summary it took a while to get the model specific programming done but now that it is finished I can say it was definitely worth the wait and I am very happy I didnt opt for the compromise route.

any questions about the sound or installation or whatever, just let me know and I'll be happy to respond.

Cheers
