OEM ground question

I heard that where ever OEM's place grounds, they use the point that measures the least resistance. Is this true?

Pic of my car below, I see some OEM grounds at the far rear, driver side, the darke area pictured that says "rear tailgate: reinforced corner joint. but at the bottom....looks like it's part of the frame to me, would that make a decent amp ground?

if you plan on running say 1000 watts rms or higher, OR your running a second battery to the rear, ground it straight to the frame. if its a smaller amp, it doesnt have to be on the frame its self
