OEM Alternator with New Optima Yellow Top

My ride died on me today...

I was crossing my fingers that all I needed was a new battery...??? No luck.

Jump starting it didn't work so after picking up the Optima Yellow Top and removed the Positve, it's the alternator.

I can get an alternator from the junk yard or should I go upgrade...this is where I need your help.

btw, is this mess has something to do with the install or is this normal with systems...???

an 02 with a bad alt already? i dunno but them things are supposed to last a lot longer than 3 yrs.

ditch that cap, most likely thats what killed it.

to answer your question, i'd get alt from junk yard... it doesn't look like u have a real high powered system so you should be fine....
