Odyssey is a much higher quality batt than kinetik. Thats why they offer the 4 year warranty and I'm pretty sure they supply the military with batts. But you pay for the quality.

You will probably get more for your money with kinetik.

RC and AH data on batteries are two seperate ways to rate a batt.

Reserve Capacity (RC) is the number of minutes a fully charged battery at 80 ° F will discharge 25 amps until the battery drops below 10.5 volts.

An amp hour (AH) is a rating usually found on deep cycle batteries. If a battery is rated at 100 amp hours it should deliver 5 amps for 20 hours, 20 amps for 5 hours, etc.

Both are good batteries if used correctly. Also know quite a few guys who had to take advantage of the odyssey warranty (imo they are pretty hard on their batteries regardless of what brand they would use though). I have had my 1400 for over 4 years anda few of my better friends have had their 2400's even longer.

Here is all you need to know, the Kinetik is probably better for daily and the Odyssey is probably better for burps. That is just taking about the brands. But it is not really fair to compare the smaller Odyssey to the bigger Kinetik. The HC2400 would probably close to double your runtime over the PC1750.

Here are the real specs:

Odyssey PC1750

AH (C/20) - 74 AH

RC - 135 min

Kinetik HC2400

AH (C/20) - 128 AH

RC - 256 min

So this was an unfair comparison from the start due to different group sizes. But give the question on face value, of course the HC2400 will win any way you slice it.

Go with the kinetik, I have sold kinetik batterys for 4 years now and never had a problem! Don't get me wrong Odyssey makes great batterys ( I sold them for 2 years then switched:D) But for the $$$$ kinetik is hands down better! To bad you do not have the room for a HC3800 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif The 3800 is one sick motherf$cker!

yeah you got a point here..

I was comparing them because I originally thought the PC1750 had 135 Ah rating.. but now after I found out that it does not have 135 Ah rating then obviously it is not fair to compare those 2 batteries..

Well make sure to come back with a review after you use it for a while. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

sure thing. I plan to hook up the system with my stock battery and then use the hc2400 so that way i should be able to see what is the difference

I am hoping to snatch a cheap volt meter soon so that way I can get exact volt reading..

Sounds like a great plan. Try to get as many good details and pics as you can. That way you don't come off as a fanboy or something. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif You know how people are around here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
