Odd lose of Sound Issue?

OK this has done this a couple of times on me now. Did it with my old radio as well...

Be playing my music, I'll crank it up and it will just go out.. NO SOUND, everything else works on the radio just fine. I can restart the car the radio etc... Nothing

But if I just pull the Radio Fuse in the trunk and put it back in. It starts working again..

I've noticed it happen twice during a Metallic Song.. So I pulled the fuse and got it playing again. Put that song on, cranked it up to 23 and sound went out again... Pulled the Fuse again.. Got my Sound back and cranked it on dozens of other songs. Worked fine.

What gives?

Did you check to see if the mids and highs amp may have gone into protect mode while hu is on before pulling and replacing the fuse??By pulling the fuse and replacing it, you are turning the HU/back on/turning the amp back on after turning off then back on through the remote on/off..Amp may be clipping/shutting off/going into protect mode while hu is still on with no sound present..You may have to back down on gain just a hair on amp.I recently had this issue with an amp I placed in about three weeks ago.Could be your issue?

There is no amp yet... Only speakers and HU at the moment.

Internal amp on hu might be getting over driven/hot and shutting down on you..the only other thing I can think of

It should blow a fuse if it gets too hot

Just keep it turned down a little bit until you get your amp installed

Is that a stock hu?Looks like it is for BMW and Merc. that I could find?

No it's not stock It's a AVIN headunit, Android Based. Old HU was a POS Boss unit... My new unit isn't op of the line either, but has been working great till this. I should be able to get it replace under warranty still. I've been working with them a little on software updates on it.

Im checking out the Avin Avant2 on YouTube right now..Pretty cool HU with a chit load of features.Pretty advanced of features.I havent gotten to where you can add external amplifiers if it has an internal amplifier within the unit.ill have to read up on it.You might have an internal issue though,and made need to replace it

I've been using PowerAmp Android App to play all my music. Has a 10 Band EQ, Playlist and more.. The HU itself has a lot of Sound options in the Settings I don't know what they do.

Ok I thought I had the problem narrowed down a little and I still might.

1. I thought maybe a setting in an App was causing it. In the Poweramp EQ. There is a Pre-Amp output. I had it cranked to the Max too adjust the Volume output because it was lower then my Radios Volume. So I changed it to 25%.. Came up to the one of the Metallica Songs. Sure enough it did it again. Just a few seconds in and NO sound...

2. So now I tried playing those Same files in the USB Player that came on the Radio. Only had a couple of mins. to test it, but it didn't shut off. Going to send these FLAC Metallica files to AVIN and have him try to repeat the issue on their end on a different Radio. These Files maybe just bad files. I can't hear anything in the Music when it plays to tell me they are bad. But man does the radio not like them.

I'm going to post a few pictures tomorrow of all the Audio Settings this thing has. Many of it I'm not sure what they actually do. Maybe someone can shine some light on it for me.
