Obscure Subwoofer Problem

I own a 2012 volkswagen jetta and i am trying to installs sub and an amp. i have a line out converter running from the back of the head unit to hook up the Rca's. the install went well until i turned the car on, when the car turns on and is running the subs do not work but the amp has power. if i leave my car on the acc ignition the subs and amp work perfectly. the only way i get my subs to work with the car running is to have the Fan on full blast. My ground is a patch sanded in my trunk. I don't know why the subs won't work when the car is actually running.Could this be a ground issue In need of any help possible. Thanks a ton

have you been checking voltages? it could be poor voltage supply or something with the remote wire. Seems like a very odd problem. More often than not, if the amp is on with no protect light it is receiving 10-12V through the power cable. This does not explain why it will work when your fan for your ac is on though.. If you can please include pictures on some of your wiring

What is your voltage with the car running? Sometimes an alternator can charge just a tad too high for the amp, but running other systems can consume just enough power to bring the voltage down to the right level
