I'm not sure about the hds3's my friend runs the hds2's running roughly 1000 watts a piece. The 2's Dont like going much past rated from what I can hear in his car. Another friend runs the 2.5's and they are plenty happy on a 2200. The 2.5's are better built than the 2's from what I was able to feel, and has the hdc3/4 cone and surround which I find **** as hell.Ok....so 34hz shud be perfect then. Now I'm guessing the SQues, capable of taking 2x the power, wud make them the better choice?
This....tht Blood Shaking bass. So do I tune hi lik 38hz?you want the choking feeling where it makes people tap out right? thats the 40-45hz area. Unless your listening to decaf 24/7, your sacrificing a lot of musical output if you tune 30hz and under. As in a lot of songs will be quieter even if its hip hop. Moving a lot of air with a 28hz drop is fun and all but its really not all that loud to the ear unless your running 4 15s/18s or more.
I meant SQ's 1200rms vs OA's 600rms rating....I will start with the zxs1500 @ 2ohm thn up it to Q1-2200d @ .5ohm, or hopefully something a lil betterI'm not sure about the hds3's my friend runs the hds2's running roughly 1000 watts a piece. 33-38 is fine. Just need a lot of power, efficiency, excursion, motorforce and Proper subwoofer loading. 2 HDS3 on 1.5k each or hdc3 15s on 2k each would do the job nicely.This....tht Blood Shaking bass. So do I tune hi lik 38hz?
