can i legaly sell my car if its past the new york state inspection date? if so are there any different steps i need to take ? ?

Yes you can sell it with out it being inspected.... It doesn't matter because no matter what they have to get it inspected... I just put a car on the road yesterday... All you need is the title signed over they need to get an MV-82 filled out..
