NVX VSW124 how good is this sub?

Gcon is my first choice but for budget reasons I may have to do the X unless I can acquire a used one. How far off is the X in sq?

I would go with a dayton HO reference over the x if you want more sq over spl. Very wide frequency response from dayton subs. Or a tc sounds epic. Both those subs are low budget sq monsters. Comparable to jl w6s eaily.

I seem to have a unfounded opinion that shallow subs must be less good but the reviews seem very positive and its nice to buy something made in the US
