Spots and sub 60lb deer give it away.

Its easy to tell 1.5 yo bucks/does.

After that on bucks you have to pay attention to their body characteristics. I.E. chest thickness, belly size, "fullness of shoulders". This is the aging we use in the field.

Most accurate way to age is by teeth.

Sure! I have read in a magazine or two where there are actually people who deer hunt with spears! I think the article was about a group in Alabama. They get something like 5-8 feet up in a tree over a deer trail and actually jump out and try to spear the mother fkers. lol...
