So yea. I got my sub system. And its woop de doo. Now I wanna work on the soundstage of my car.

I'm keeping my automatic 94 Accord. I got into the whole JDM tuning scene. Except I'm not trying to make my car fast, its a mufuckin auto, I'm trying to make my car look clean.

So I might as well have a clean looking car, and a clean sounding car.

So blah.

YES, I DON'T WANT TO SPEND 500 BUCKS ON MY SOUNDSTAGE, GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!

I have 4 speakers in my car all 6.5 specced. I can only fit 6.5's or 6 3/4ths with holes for 6.5's. I'm not modding my doors to have bigger speakers.

My current speakers and headunit are a joke.

Completely a joke.

You may start teh lolz before this list begins

Sony Xplod 4 ways in the back

Kenwood KFC 1662 3 ways in the front

Boss-612UA in the middle

Obviously my substage is nice, so I don't need to work on that

Obsidian Audio 15 D4

Audiopipe ASPM-1500

Rockford Fosgate 4 Gauge Wiring

3.4CU ft box tuned at 32 hz

my sub completely deletes the midrange, so I basically need speakers that pick up from like 60-80hz.

I don't want to go overkill on my speaker stage, and I don't need to. I don't know where to start, soooo I'll start with $250 bucks. 4 speakers, and an amp to push them.

I don't need to get loud by any means, I just want really good sound quality to come from them. And I want them to mend the mid range gap that I currently do not have on my current system. I want the sound to melt from my sub to the speakers, I want the full range.

Go.

Give me Critisism. And that doens't mean go off on how I don't know **** and I'm stupid. I trusted you guys once on my sub system, and it payed off, so I definitely know that this time around, I know that I can trust you guys!

Getting enough midbass to blend seamlessly with a 15" sub on 1k might be beyond your scope.

But, lose the rears altogether. Get a pair of cheap/decent 6.5" mid bass' from parts express and look at some Cadence/JBL/other budget brand 6.5" comps for the front doors. Get that matching 4 channel. Run the rear off the LPF and the fronts off the HPF.

That might be ok.

I have a bass knob that sits next to me while I drive. for SQ purposes, I can definitely just set the subs level to match the mid bass on the speakers, so thats not a problem.

What I meant by blend is that when the sub stops sufficiently producing mid-bass, that the components take over. I don't want a gap.

Why not the fronts? The Xplod's are by far way better than the kenwoods I have SQ wise. I just want to replace all the speakers.

X2 on the midbass. My doors are all sealed up with my mids getting 100w+ a piece and the mids are meant to be used for midbass only anyways. Doesn't even remotely keep up with my 18. If you want good midbass consider buying a dedicated midbass driver that's like an 8" and fiberglass it into your door.

I ******* SEE THIS RATIONALITY! AND IT MAKES SENSE!

Sub Stage in the Back

Mids In the Middle

Components in the Front.

Mind = Blown.

So I searched the matching audiopipe 4 channel, and thats $100 bucks

Now the problem is, I need to find mids and components that have the same screw pattern as my car, because I found out that that isn't univerersal, with my Xplods, which are currently only screwed in with 1 screw at 1 point. My fronts are installed perfectly, as I found the speakers on Crutchfield using the "Outfit my car" option

Also.

I know exactly what you're talking about.

Rather it be preferance or budget these muthafukas will always tell you to do something differently even in you put in bold letter that you only want to do things a certain way. It annoys the ***** outa me.

I'm og and still get told to run ported even though I only like sealed. If said person wants to spend x amount they'll suggest spending 100 bucks more for this or that. I know what the **** I like, don't tell me differently.

That is all

Experience leads people to advise others when their budget is not realistic for their goals. It's not about being ignorant or disrespectful. You can't expect $xxx speakers to do what you're asking if they just can't do it at the volume you want them to play. That's just one factor that separates budget speakers from mid- to high-end speakers.

I've seen the same argument paralleled in the tuner world of sport compacts. People think they can make their 16-second 4-door run 12s on a $500 budget and to hell with anyone who isn't on board.

edit:

I had to come back and mention the possibility of electrical system upgrades being necessary for adding another amplifier to this system. If the sub amp you have is actually capable of 1,500W you're likely at the limits of your alternator.

People are going to tell you that because your goal on your budget is not realistic. Good mid bass where you need it most is not cheap. It takes good equipment and a good install
Valid points. More of a mini rant I had to express.
