Noticeable differences?

I feel like I'm turning into "that guy" but I have another queion or series of questions about a has comparison. So I just bought an RE 12.1 which supposedly puts out 1500-1700RMS@1 ohm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I've seen. If that's the case, I'm debating between a Fi Q and Fi BL, same price, I know the BL is SPL oriented, and the Q SQ oriented. But does the BL sound worse enough to matter? And in the right box will it hit the lows well enough? I mainly ask because I've heard the Q doesn't have a super broad frequency range, and the BL only has 18 mm XMAX compared to the 28 of the Q. I've seen these threads alot, but they are all super old.

my experiences with the Q15 I had back then was it was very forgiving with enclosures. Had them go through 3 enclosures of different sizes and tuning and they all had a relatively flat response, no peakiness or anything. Though I had trouble getting the output i wanted from it with only 1600 rms, made my car flex and all that but not enough to have chest pounding bass.

It may, haven't gotten it yet. Making payments. It's the minty '06 12.1 that was on here. I know it's half ohm stable and has a reputation of being able to put out 1600 at 1ohm. I just don't know if that's true or not.

That what I'm slightly worried about. I like SQ, but I love a loud system too. I just worry the BL won't have the low end or quality. That, or it will need more power than I have to throw at it.

the q always made me drool. ( i like loud also - but hate distorted / muddy / blurred bass sounds. i like musical acuracy over just plain boomin system )

myself i ended up with a re sx 18 and love it to death
