Not very loud then alot of distortion

well on my amp clamping ventures voltage was dipping down into the 11's im gonna go test the 2nd batt and see if its bad. hopefully it is cuz a 180 amp alt and 2 batts should be sufficient.

i couldnt view the vid prolly a lot of other couldnt either,,

is it sumthin simple wrong with ur set up like bass on the radio turned upp to high? keep the bass atleast on neutral "0"

I have a 9 ohm rise with a very standard design bass reflex in the van, in an unstuffed TL like that who knows what the impedance is doing, especially with such a small compression chamber...
Well if the enclosure was designed correctly, there shouldn't be much of an impedance rise at all as that's one of the selling points of transmission line enclosures. I doubt he measured correct values anyways.

I would almost bet that it is an enclosure problem. Is there a build log or do you have exact dimensions anywhere?

These are SPL-oriented enclosures, I haven't had a chance to talk with Rich a lot about them but I don't know how they'd model up in MJK's MATHCAD models...there has to be some compromise for being able to fit a TL into a trunk.

This is not my system, Its is my brother in laws setup. Problem has been found. amp is producing the power it needs. The H/U he had in the car to start with was an older pioneer. when i set everything up i told him to go no higher than 50 on the vol. well showing the system off to friends seems he liked to crank it past 55. It distorted real bad at any vol over 50. the new H/U was a newer pioneer and i was able to use 55 without distortion but its was too late the subs were pretty much smoked. 1 sub sounds like its coming apart.
