No the alpine type r is more sql than sq and sounds better ported meter is at full tilt.

Those subs are more SQL than SQ I would recommend a image dynamics Q 12 inch sub or a RF punch stage 3 before i would recommend a type r. They are made for ported boxes and as I said are more SQL oriented The polk SR's are nice as well for SQ.

I'm still undecided.. I just want to know if this 05 RE XXX15 will hit most of the lower beats in rap songs and most of the beats in rock too. I listen to all types of music so I want it to be able to hit all the ranges.
