well i had two mtx 10s running of a 600watt 2channel kenwood amp but then i added 2 more 10s all the 10s need about 200 watts to run what size amp would be a good one for running 4 10in subs and im not lookin into upgrading into 12s

also yesterday i hookup my buddies 1200 jl audio amp to the 4 10s but the bass wasnt bumpin hard at all so i was wondering what could be the problem we were thing it might be beacuse the wire im running for the 600 watt is to small and i need thicker gauge wire for the power the amp puts out dose that sound right?

i didnt wire my system in the car its got 4 new kenwood doorspeakers but they didnt wire them to the amp are the speaker wires possibly hooked up in the back of the head unit

a power difference yes. Depending on the size of the amp though. If it's a tiny amp the difference wouldn't be very noticable. But if your talking sending 100 watts to each speaker then yeah there's a huge difference.

I think my hu does like 18 watts to each speaker. While my amp does 100 to each. Big difference in how loud the speakers can get before they distort.
