Not happy with my 15" XXX performance

Hello guys,

~3.91 cF @ ~32.5 Hz.

my box.

I have the PA amp Power Acoustik A3000DB.

What can be wrong is in a civic hatch 90.

I know I have enough power and proper wiring setup 220amp alternator and 0 guage stinger wiring. And I have no problems. Maybe its the headunit I have the X589 only goes to 35 volume lol. Did you follow the gain setting guide or just guess on the gains?

Well your volume only going to 35 has nothing to do with why your sub isn't loud. Your gain gets set to your head unit and that shouldn't hinder performance what so ever. As long as you set your gains correctly that is.

how much port area does that box have?

which way are the port(s) and sub firing?

theres alot more than just your electrical.

that box could be completly wrong.

interesting I was just reading an atricle that said the port should be on the same side as the woofer. Could that be it?

or maybe because it is not facing the driver or rear wall but firing up?

I don't know too much about SPL subs or any of that ported box stuff being a SQ guy but I thought facing the subs and port toward the back of the car got the best results.?? I know when I had a trunk without fold down back seats I pointed my subs toward the tail lights and got much better results than pointing them toward the back seat. try it facing the rear. Facing up looks like it muffles the sound by being so close to the rear deck/trunk lid.
