re *** 12 wired at 1ohm

Grab a DMM and start checking voltages. Make sure you've got 12v on the amp's + and remote terminals. Then if they do have power to them, check to see if your getting any voltage out of the amp.

If you pull the sub out and put a DMM on the coils you'll know right away if it's blown. Usually they blow open so you won't get any kind of reading at all, it just read like an open circuit. (Or some very high value).

to check the amp output:

set DMM to VAC and put red and black DMM leads on amplifier speaker output (+) and (-) terminals, respectively.

to check sub resistance:

disconnect speaker/sub wires from amp. put red and black DMM leads on sub/speaker (+) and (-) wires, respectively.

if you get an O.L. or open reading then you have a blown sub or loose connection - remove the subs and test the terminals/check the wiring. if you get just under 1ohm then your sub wiring should be fine.
