Please take no offense but your statement is the reason for the header/title for my thread, I have been to so many car audio shows competitions it's not funny, I have heard 4-8's sound like 2 bad *** 15's before I am all about good building and displacement, but when you say " you have 2-15's in a focus" , most people are like **** no way kinda the way you are stating, I am one of those people that do stuff that people say you can't, Or to put haters in check //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI think the reason people always try to cram a 10 cube box in a trunk, or insist on running 15's in 3 cube is because they've never heard a good single sub build in adequate box.
Just jamming the most cone area in a trunk is less than optimum.
2 layers.not sure what to do other than doing 2 layers?? I've covered anywhere I could.
It's not hate, it's practical experience and trial and error. Pair of 12's OK, single 15 OK. I've done a pair of 15's in a trunk and it's just as loud or louder with a single 15 in an optimum box with enough room for sound waves to get into the cabin. Collectively many of us have spent countless man hours and thousands of dollars in materials proving that this isn't a good idea, but hey, I'm sure you'll get different results if you simply ignore people who have already figured out the hard way. Please take no offense but your statement is the reason for the header/title for my thread, I have been to so many car audio shows competitions it's not funny, I have heard 4-8's sound like 2 bad *** 15's before I am all about good building and displacement, but when you say " you have 2-15's in a focus" , most people are like **** no way kinda the way you are stating, I am one of those people that do stuff that people say you can't, Or to put haters in check //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

1 15 in a 4th or 6th order would beat the 2 in a slot/aero port.im not ignoring anybody, that's why I'm on here n looking for help, btw so far you are the only one that I can think of that has suggested only 1 sub, problem is I've already bought 2 :-/
I would highly suggest minimum of 7ft3 net for the pair with around 8ft3 net being more ideal...but space is an issues so "making due" will likely be what is required for you here. What do you suggest ? I'm open for anything, I just hate doing things twice lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm one of those guys I like to do it right the first time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
