well there is bass control on the amplifier but also there is a "woofer" control on the Hu. Im just wonder if that is considered the same as bass boost?

i have a pioneer 750 with a sub control i turn that all the way up but it's really like a gain in the headunit kinda. what i would do is turn the bass and loud boost completly off on the headunit.turn the bass boost down on the amp. you can turn the sub level up if it's like my headunit without getting disortion. adjust the gains on the amp. you don't need the extra bass from the headunit and all the amp does it amplify the bass on top of any bass the amp plays giving a lot of distortion.
