Normal or inverted , what do you think?

couldn't you make the basket look like a top and have a 9" spider and taper back into an 8" cone. To mount it you could have the motor/basket and the cone/mounting ring sandwich the MDF..
idk i might jsut be showing my ignorance but just and idea
i'm lost , sounds interesting but i can't really picture what you mean here.

that kinda thing, if you make the hole thing long enough you could have 3 spiders, a triple stacked mag, and a 2000rms ready 8" woofer.

Do one normal and one inverted. Just wire them out of phase. This orientation actually has better SQ because each sub cancels the other's non-linearities. Either the odd or even ordered harmonics. I can never remember.

yeah , plus i really like the motor's and the direct leads , none of the people who i will actually let peek in the trunk have ever seen direct leads or motors that big on 8's. LOL.
Haha I hear you. If I had a sub with direct leads, I'd either invert or go lexen to show it off also. It's nice when no one in the area has a clue about real audio lol.

I know I said this before but those things look so beefy. Feel those stickers off the mags, get some mineral spirits and clean the adhesive off, I think they'd look absolutely baller inverted

thats not the case here , i know about 10 members in my area with awesome setups , but my immediate circle of friends and family don't have **** on me. And my stuff is mediocre at best. LOL
