i think its a little of both....make sense that itd take about this much time or something like that to happen with that senario.....but then again even with the right box size snoopdan's had trouble with his 4hp (mechanically speaking). He comes across mechanical failre with his, then again he has much more power to abuse it with. Even so, there's gotta be something not kosher wiht these tensil leads being woven ona high power high excursion sub. i think it's a combination of both cases....


im suprised we've gone 3 mintues wihtout hearing something degrading and annoying from nG. maybe he took a breath between spurts of putting everyone down on the forum like he ussually does.

Interesting...He can use a sub that needs a smaller box and has more cone area...I dont see your logic..

You're choosing to disagree rather than think about it. He would be in a lower class hitting the same scores he is with his single 18, use about the same size enclosure overall, and more than likely have less issues with the sub breaking.

If you can go down a class and hit the same scores, it makes a lot of sense. Nothing tough, really.

He doesn't even have enough power for that TC ideally from what I've read so far.

The sub breaking had nothing to do with the manufacturer. I dont have that way of thinking since I dont compete nor do I have the desire to compete.

I said nothing pertaining to manufacturers. Don't know why you did.
I don't compete at all but using what I know about competing he just doesn't have the install this sub needs to do what it was meant to. The L7 was just a random suggestion, because it is affordable.

Installers get paid by the hour at the shops I've worked in. Are you butthurt that I questioned "nG"?

one at best buy

one at tweeter

one at a local stereo shop

i'm sure there are exceptions. but even if i made an extra 2 bucks an hour being an installer i'd rather do the sales...

I wonder why TC uses a $2000 program to design the right enclosures for their subs ?

Since when was it a good idea to make an enclosure 2x larger than reccomended ?

From what ive seen in the past, this is nothing new. I wouldnt call it TC's fault.

Its user error, plain and simple.
