Stock HU, no factory sub, how to control subs?...

A friend of mine has a newer VW Passat and has two 12" Comp Vr's going into the car, is there any way to control the subwoofers through the stock HU or is a cleansweep/aftermarket HU needed?

what do you mean control the subwoofers ? You can hook em up with a LOC and still have access to all the amps controls.
