well im leaning towards more spl so i still wanna stick with the 5200.....i just wanna stab myself in the eye repeatedly every day i go without bass....an lms with be nice but we'll see.....

I dont get how people are fucking those top assemblies up....I put a 40.1 to my lms 5400 and it took it..Wanted more power.....what kind of power were you giving your 4hp?

only a kx 2500.1

thought maybe it something wiht the box, but ive been especially careful to not let it bottom out, so i dunno why the hell this would happen.

In my experience snapped tinsel leads from a woven spider is due to to much movement. Could be due to the power or the box being to big for the sub or even possibly both...Either way it still should not have happened..

6.7 cubs @ 37 Hz. never played anything lower than 35 hz, you know how u can hear the subs response go bad as it appraoches frequencies that are no bueno with a sine sweep or even just playing tones lower and lower, i made sure to not even come close to that point sinc emy ssf is only at 25hz (its not variable). only played freq's the sub can handle.

the sub has never had any issues before this. it only was getting roughly 2500w (maybe a lil more) off the kx 2500.1 at 1 ohm. that 2500 easily got it to full excursion. the box size seemed to match the sub pretty well since i dont have 4kw to work with and bigger box's are (generally) a lil more efficent. i told tc about those specs and they werent concerned. sub sounded just fine in this box, didnt seem to sound like it was stressed mechanically. never even came close thermally to anything bad
