Noob question on amps/subs

Hey what up?

I have two 12" Comp VR 4 ohm DVC each in its own box. I also bought two JBL 300 watt rms amps (@ 2 ohms). My thinking was for each sub to have its own amp. Is this overkill or uneccesary? I haven't done the install yet so I can change if its not the right thinking on my part.

Need some help from someone who is more experienced than me obviously.

You could have run both subs off of one amp.

Using one amp for both subs might save you some money on install products and time.

Personally I would sell both JBL's and get one amp for the subs.
