Noob needs help

ok after wanting a new system in my truck since my front speakers started rattling i have finally decided to build my own

i have a lot of expirance with cars but not the audio portion

i need help buying parts and i plane on making my own box

my truck is a 2000 chevy silverado 1500 ext cab

i know i want 2 12s if they can fit under my back seats for subs and i just want a system that can really hit hard and have good quality

if someone can give me a list of parts and info on how to make a box and how the wiring wiork that would be great

my budget is from 600-700

What kind of music do you lisen to? that will determine what kind of box to make. Also how much volume/sound are you wanting out of your subs? yes you can fit 2 12s under your seats. wiring is very easy and id recommend buying a wiring kit. of course it will depend on how much watts you will be running.

the main thing it will be playing is hiphop and maby a little bit of rock but mostly stuff with alot of bass

and i want it to be very loud but not so loud the cuality is awful

sounds like me. hah. i have a ported box but in your truck without taking out the seats might be a little hard because ported boxs need more room unless you get a smaller sub but sence your wanting it to be loud you'll want a bigger one. Id recommend 2 Alpine Type Rs. theres also a guy selling some alpine type rs for 115 shipped. They can take a lot of power and sound good. for an amp i would probably get one off of someone thats selling one on here. probably either the AQ1200D or the sundown sae1200. for those amps you'll need a 4 guage wiring kit. if you make that box you might want to get some stuff called pollyfill and put that in there. Id first put the subs in the box without anything in it and if it doesnt sound as smooth as you want try putting some pollyfill in it. play around with diffrent amounts to see what you like.

so i need regular 6and 1/2 inch speakers for my front doors and the back doors have a 4X6 size... the front ones are trashedddd.

also i couldnt find those amps on sonic any others you would recomend or should i buy it somewhere else?

if you have enough money get 2 hdc12's and the aq2200D amp. then your set..might need to do the big 3..not sure how big your alt is.

Not enough air space for 2-12” subs to fit under the rear seat

You will have better bass with smaller speakers done Wright than big speakers done wrong

1-12” or 2-10” subs

and why do they have to go under the seat? why cant you either take the seats out or put the box in the seats? my friend has one hdc12 hooked up to a 1200w pioneer amp and it bangs pretty loud for 1 sub.

i cant put them in becuase its an ext cab so i dont have very much room

and now you guys got me thinking about puttin my back seats in storage then i can build my own box and save some money..

and then everyday those 3 freshmen ask me for a ride home like thy do everyday i can say the fat chick cant come because i only have 2 seats hahaha
