Noob needs help...

I have a set of coaxils in the rear and 2 way components in the front with a 6 channel amp. Can I hook up only the tweeters to the crossover and the 6.5's to the amp? Will this screw anything up?

Doesnt sound like a good idea to me. First thing that comes to mind is that 6.5" woofer would be getting full range.. and it not designed to play that.

My amp says that it puts out 70w rms x 6 and 110w rms x 3 bridged. Do I need a 4 channel amp or can I hook up to only 4 channels on this amp and still get the same output?

just bridge to the front and use single channels on the rear. so you have 110w rms x 2 + 70 x 2.

Components are rated at 55w rms and coaxils rated at 45w rms. Wouldnt that be to much on which ever ones I put at 110rms?

you have gains for a reason, turn them down. set them to only output 55 watts, don't run your mids full range, that's just silly when you have an xover for them. hell you don't even need to run all the channels. just leave 2 channels empty
